Ostrich Reproduction

Ostriches reach sexual maturity at 2-4 years of age. A female ostrich can lay up to 20 eggs. Ostrich eggs are glossy and cream in color. The incubation period is over 40 days. Ostrich chicks have many predators, so only a small percent will survive in the end.
